Alan Jamieson

Now an Independent Consultant, Alan has spent most of his career in the voluntary sector engaged in the creation, management, development, and funding of organisations delivering counselling, help, advice and information services to the public. He has extensive experience as an Expert Advisor to various governments, regulators, the WHO and the European Commission on treatment and public education models in relation to public health, mental health and well-being strategies.

He has been Deputy CEO of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, Director of the National AIDS Helpline, and a Regional Officer with Relate. He chaired the Responsible Gambling Strategy Board's Treatment Panel and was a Trustee of the Responsible Gambling Fund before its merger with The GREaT Foundation to form the Responsible Gambling Trust, now known as GambleAware.
