We operate the BeGambleAware.org website, which was launched early in 2017, following consultation with stakeholders. The website provides information to help people make informed decisions about their gambling. It helps people find out more about gambling and what responsible gambling means, to understand and recognise problem gambling, and shows them where to go for further information, help and support should you need it. Last year, the website had 2.7 million unique visitors.
Logos in a range of formats are available for our donors and non-profit organisations to download under licence here.
The Industry Group for Responsible Gambling has updated its Advertising Code and for compliance purposes, operators should now use BeGambleAware.org, and this is a requirement for TV advert clearance purposes:
"The 4th Edition of the Code contains an additional requirement which is that a responsible gambling message or a reference to BeGambleAware.org must appear on screen throughout the length of the advert. This provision will come into effect 30th June 2018, but where the change can be made before then companies are strongly encouraged to do so."
Our thinking behind the BeGambleAware brand is available to review here.
The text “gambleaware.co.uk GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY” and “BeGambleAware.org” and the associated logos are registered trademarks.
The old website, GambleAware.co.uk forwards to the new site, so existing signs, leaflets and online advice will remain effective but as they are renewed, the new website should be used.
